Where to find late night food in Downtown Los Angeles

Imperial Night Market is an evening street food market, open until 10:30 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Here is what that means for a late dinner.

What counts as late night here

Imperial Night Market is an evening market, not an after-midnight spot. It is open Friday 6:30 to 10:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday 5:00 to 10:30 pm at 2300 E 15th St in Downtown LA. If you want a late dinner or a bite after a show, it works on those three nights, until 10:30 pm.

What you can eat after dark

The food is Mexican street food and antojitos: tacos, cemitas, fried masa, sweets and cold drinks. Each dish is available when a vendor is serving it, so the lineup changes by night. See what to eat and the guide to Mexican street food.

Because the lineup changes, a dish you want may not be out late in the evening. If there is something you do not want to miss, arrive earlier, when the full lineup is out.

Why it suits a late bite

Entry is free, with no tickets or reservations, and you eat standing or walking. Plates are made for sharing, so a group can try several dishes without anyone ordering a full meal. Bring cash and wear flat, closed-toe shoes.

Parking and getting there in the evening

Free street parking is nearby, and the signs matter: check them before you leave your car and keep driveways clear. Rideshare riders have a set drop-off pin. Details are in the parking and rideshare guide.

Plan your night

On Friday the market opens at 6:30 pm. On Saturday and Sunday it opens at 5:00 pm. Hours can shift slightly, so check the visit page before you go, or see the page for tonight and this weekend.
